Welcome to St Patrick's Catholic School Latrobe

St Patrick’s Catholic School Latrobe has been providing a Catholic education for students since 1887. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, St Patrick’s currently offers co-educational classes from Kindergarten through to Grade 6 to approximately 200 students.

St Patrick’s is a small school with a determination to live out and implement the Gospel values of Jesus Christ, and reflect the love of God in our community. Our care for each other and our environment is a response to the Gospel, supported by example, prayer, reflection, and action. Our school community—including families and teachers—are supported to share this vision and cooperate in a climate of mutual support and respect.

We seek to inspire your child and promote in them dignity, mercy, excellence, justice, hospitality, and compassion as part of our Mercy tradition. At St Patrick’s, your child will be encouraged to reflect on how they can use their unique skills and qualities to contribute positively to contemporary Australian culture.

St Patrick’s offers your child a comprehensive and engaging learning program based on the Australian Curriculum. We also offer specialist Music, Japanese, and Physical Education classes. All students participate in our school garden project, furthering their learning by making use of our well-maintained school vegetable plot.

St Patrick’s Catholic School is also the home of Latrobe Early Learning & Child Care Services. These services provide families with options for care for newborns through to five-year-olds in long day care, and provides outside of school hours care and vacation care.

Thank you for your interest in St Patrick’s Catholic School. We are proud of the warm, welcoming, and secure environment we are able to provide. You are invited to contact us to arrange a tour if you would like to learn more about our school.
