At St Patrick’s Catholic School, we are deeply committed to fostering both the spiritual and academic formation of our students, and we are proud to be part of the Mersey Leven Parish community—one of three Catholic primary schools in the area. Our close partnership with the Parish is vital in ensuring that the Catholic ethos permeates every aspect of school life, providing a foundation for students to grow as individuals grounded in faith and values.
Together, the Principal, Instructional Leader for Religious Education, and the Parish Priest collaborate to ensure that our religious education program meets the standards set by the Archdiocese of Hobart. This partnership supports our mission to nurture students’ spiritual growth, helping them deepen their relationship with Christ while developing academically, emotionally, and socially.
The sacraments play a central role in our students' faith formation. We regularly celebrate these sacred moments within the Parish, offering our school community opportunities for prayer, reflection, and connection. In addition to sacramental celebrations, we invite families to join us for significant liturgical events throughout the year, including Holy Week and Easter liturgies, as well as special occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, and the liturgical seasons of Lent, Advent, and Christmas.
Through these shared experiences, we aim to provide a space where students’ faith, values, and character are formed in a way that supports their flourishing as compassionate, justice-seeking, and community-oriented individuals.
We invite all members of our school community to engage with the Parish, as it is through these meaningful moments of worship, reflection, and celebration that we build a strong foundation for our students to grow in their faith and live out their Catholic values in all areas of their lives.
